Benefits for the Local Community
To date, FRV Australia’s projects have committed over $9.5 million to benefit regional communities. The Axedale Solar Farm will provide ongoing funding to the local community for the life of the project.

FRV welcomes feedback from the community on specific initiatives they would like to see funded as part of the project’s investment in community benefits, such as:

Improvements to local facilities
Funding for local community groups
Sponsorship of local events or sports groups.

Solar farms provide local farmers with an opportunity to safeguard their farming business against and the uncertainty of weather events and commodity prices.
Most of FRV’s Australian projects continue to support sheep grazing during operations, and this will be the same at Axedale.
Once operational, the solar farm will be suitable for sheep grazing, and would provide benefits such as:
Additional shade
Protection from predators
Improvements to soil moisture retention

Environmental Benefits
The project will deliver clean, zero emmisions electricity to meet the region’s energy needs and helps further cement VIC as a leader in renewable energy.
The project would procure up to
306,600 MWh of electricity
Equivalent to:
200,000 tonnes CO2
avoided every year
2 hours storage
of clean energy, for when the sun isn’t shining
